An unsexed embryo by Chacco Blue out of Arina is the jewel in the crown of the collection on offer. Chacco Blue is not only world number 1 ranked sire by a country mile but has just sired the Gold medal winner at the Tokyo Olympic Games, the superstar, Explosion W with Ben Maher. Chacco Blue progeny are continually in high demand and the demand is notably increasing every day. At the recent Flanders Foal Auction 2 foals fetched €60,000 each.
The dam of the embryo, Arina, a daughter of Crown Z, from the damline of Ratina Z, is a proven mother of high quality jumpers. Her 9yo daughter, Boleybawn Aasha, is already successful at 1.50m level with Norwegian young rider, Mira Oliva Hodial. As an 8yo she became Norway’s National Junior Champion. A very exciting combination that looks set to be competitive at 1.60m level. Arina’s 8yo son, Boleybawn Cooley, has placed in 1.45m classes in the hands of Charlotte Jacobs in Florida and these are another pair that are certain to jump in the biggest classes in the biggest rings in time. Another Grand Prix winner that Arina has bred is the speedy son of Ars Vivendi, Boleybawn Actor, who won several young horse classes in Ireland with Darragh Ryan and is competing at 1.45m level in Germany. Boleybawn Larina, Arina’s 6yo daughter, qualified for the 4yo Championships at the RDS, was a winner in 5yo Irish Sport Horse classes and has recently been sold to America. Another daughter Boleybawn Mystic won a 5yo RDS qualifier, placed 5th in the RDS 5yo Grand Final and is now a prolific broodmare at Ballypatrick Stables. Most recently, Boleybawn Alton, became Arina’s 5th offspring to qualify for the RDS when he won his ticket for Dublin in the 4yo section. All of the aforementioned progeny were bred by stallions standing at a nomination fee of €1000 or less. The exciting part of it all is what the future holds; Arina embarked on her embryo transfer programme in 2015 which has resulted in 17 horses from 1yo – 4yo sired by some very high profile stallions. These include Boleybawn Alvaro, the 3yo stallion son of Dominator Z, who looks exceptionally talented and will be sure to make an impact in sport and breeding.
